A Watertown woman who allegedly struck an off-duty Somerville police officer's car fled the scene at rates of over 60 miles per hour on Wednesday, May 11, according to police.

Richa Pant, of 23 Irma Ave., Watertown, was arrested on Central Street and charged with unlicensed operation of motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and reckless operation of motor vehicle.

Somerville Police said Pant struck an off-duty officer's car as she pulled out of Dunkin' Donuts in Magoun Square. Pant allegedly fled through three solid red lights at high speeds, police said.

Pant said she was unaware that she was involved in any accident, and was not trying to evade anyone, according to police. Her vehicle sustained moderate front end damage, with white paint transfer, police said. She presented a Massachusetts Identification card, and admitted to not having a valid driver's license, police said.
