Somerville's Bow Market To Reopen With New Safety Measures

The shopping and dining spot is home to 32 small businesses nestled around a courtyard in Union Square.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Bow Market in Somerville's Union Square will reopen this Friday, July 10. The market shifted to an outdoor grocery store during the pandemic and will now rearrange the space to allow retailers to get back to business.

The main courtyard is now a shared outdoor dining patio for the majority of the downstairs food and beverage businesses. In the morning and afternoon, breakfast and lunch will be first come, first seated. In the evening, reservations will be required for dinner and drinks.

To order food to-go or pick-up delivery orders, stay left at the host stand.

To shop, go up and around. Customers will see directional arrows on the walkway and are asked to keep to one side as they shop.

All guests are required to wear a face covering (masks, bandanas, etc.) at all times. This excludes children under the age of two and those with underlying health conditions. Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance to the market and at the door of every shop.
