Vote-By-Mail Expanded For Somerville Elections

Here's how to submit a ballot by mail for the preliminary and general elections this fall.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville residents will have the option to mail in their votes in the upcoming preliminary and general municipal elections.

The state has approved voting by mail for all local elections in 2021, and voters should receive vote-by-mail notices from the Secretary of State's office in the coming days.

Voting by mail is a two-step process. Registered voters first must submit a vote-by-mail ballot application, and then return their completed ballot to the Elections Office.
