'YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City' Tickets, Discount Card on Sale

YUM lets you sample cuisine from around the world to support immigrants here in Somerville.

This year's "YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City," takes place April 25 at  The Center for Arts at the Armory, and tickets are now available.

The food event celebrates the culinary, and overall, diversity of Somerville, and it benefits The Welcome Project, a Somerville immigrant advocacy group.

"YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City," features tastings from several of Somerville's ethnic restaurants, representing cuisine from places like Ethiopia, Nepal, Brazil, Turkey, Mexico, Italy, Portugal and elsewhere.

In addition to the tasting event, residents can also purchase the YUM card. It costs $10 and provides cardholders with a 10 percent discount at participating restaurants.
