Army Sgt. Michael MacDonald Back Home From Afghanistan
MacDonald is an alum of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

U.S. Army Sgt. Michael MacDonald, a graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, has arrived home after spending nine months in Afghanistan.
MacDonald enlisted in the Army as an 11B. He attended OSUT at Fort Benning on July 7, 2010. He graduated from OSUT in October 2010 and attended Airborne School.

Upon graduation he went to Fort Brag where he attended SOPC, SFAS and SFQC. In January 2012, MacDonald went to Fort Benning assigned to Aco 3/69 AR BN. In October 2012 he deployed as part of OEF XIX-XX attached to 3rd Special Forces Group in support of Village Stability Operations.
His awards include AAM, ARCOM, GCM, Afghan Campain Medal, Nato Medal and CIB. He is the son of Donna Alum and Thomas MacDonald.
