Bottle Ban Stays, New Fire Station, Fighting Eversource: Sudbury Special Town Meeting Results

Here are the results of the Oct. 16 Special Town Election in Sudbury.

SUDBURY, MA—Sudbury voters said yay or nay on a number of issues in town at a special town meeting called for Monday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m., at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School auditorium. Voters failed to pass a repeal of the plastic bottle ban, but said yes to funding a new fire station and fighting Eversource's desire to put a transmission line through town.

Among the 18 articles on the warrant are FY2018 budget adjustments, amending the legal affairs bylaw, the construction of a new fire station, litigation to fight the Eversource reliability project, money for Sudbury Station, updates to the Sudbury schools playground, updating the master plan for the town, replace the gym at the high school and to repeal or not repeal the bottle ban.

The meeting dissolved at 11:35 p.m.
