CT Man Arrested On I-395 For Trafficking Cocaine
The man was pulled over in the breakdown lane and troopers thought he needed assistance.

WEBSTER, MA—When police pulled over to see if a person needed help in the breakdown lane, it ended in an arrest for drugs.
Around 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, Troopers Daniel Cahill and Trooper Jonathan Arias were on patrol of Route 395 in Webster and spotted a Hyundai Genesis pulled over in the breakdown lane. They stopped to check if the driver needed help.
As they talked with the driver, a 41-year-old from Willimantic, CT, they observed open beer bottles in the vehicle. As a result of an investigation, the driver was found to be in possession 37.5 grams of cocaine.
He was arrested and charged with possession of an open container of alcohol, trafficking cocaine.

Bail was set at $5,040.
