The 4th annual <a href="https://www.hopesudbury.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">HOPEsudbury</a> fishing derby is a major fundraiser for the charity, which provides emergency financial help for people facing sudden bills, and for help with food and childcare. In 2022, the nonprofit provided over $100,000 in financial assistance to 104 Sudbury families, which mostly went to helping pay rent, mortgages and utility bills, according to HOPEsudbury. The <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hopesudbury/posts/pfbid0na4HmrF46odkhMXqKehVya7mss2kxPKmGeCsbqoWjAu85D9rbsQckDunhxTxnWPDl" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Aug. 26 event</a> (rain date: Aug. 27) will include fishing, ice cream and activities for families.
