Halloween 5K. Fun Run, Fall Fest, Scarecrow Contest All In One In Sudbury

Now this is a fun, different way to celebrate Halloween with your community. Run, then enjoy the day at the fall festival.

SUDBURY, MA—Now, this is a wonderful, unique, way to celebrate Halloween. Running in costume.

On Sunday, Oct. 22, starting at 11 a.m., the annual Halloween 5K and Fun Run returns to Sudbury.
It’s the sixth annual event, and appropriate for the whole family. The 5K is a timed event, which is followed by the Fun Run, both looping around Haskell Field.

The 5K starts at 11 a.m. and costs $30 to enter. The Fun Run starts at noon and costs $12.

For the second time, Sudbury's adding a Fall Fest and scarecrow contest to the annual Halloween 5K and one-mile Fun Run on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Atkinson Pool, 40 Fairbank Road.

It's a day of fun for all ages that includes face painting, musical entertainment, crafts and more.

For the Scarecrow Contest, Sudbury's Recreation Department provides straw, a mounting, and twine; you provide the materials needed for a face and any accessories you’d like for your family scarecrow. Clothing and accessories may not be returned, as the Scarecrows will be displayed until Halloween.
