ICYMI: Sudbury Animal Group Urges Donations To Save Pets In Puerto Rico
Buddy Dog Humane in Sudbury is urging animal lovers to help out with transporting hundreds of animals from Puerto Rico.

SUDBURY, MA—Friends of Buddy Dog Humane Society issued a plea: "Please help our partners in Puerto Rico if you are able. Amidst the devastation, they are putting everything they've got into the care and love of hundreds of dogs and cats. This is truly the best side of humanity."
Buddy Dog asks that you consider donating to All Sato Rescue. Founded in 2008, its mission is to "rescue and rehome Satos, and we also strive to address the root causes of overpopulation, abuse, and neglect through initiatives aimed at raising public awareness, facilitating low-cost spay and neuter, and expanding the involvement of the judiciary and government in implementing humane solutions. "
Currently, the organization is facilitating the transport of more than 200 pets from Puerto Rico to the Northeast.

"Each day this is a daunting task," writes the organization, "since 95 percent of the island’s 3.4 million people still have no steady supply of power, water, food, or gas, and without work, most are without access to money."
The group hopes that these pets will be transported this week, pending getting a pilot, plane and all the appropriate paperwork in place. You can donate here.
