"At a time of competing priorities and monetary concerns, Sudbury schools are headed for another tough budget next year."

It is my honor and pleasure to support and endorse Lisa Kouchakdjian for Sudbury School Committee. Lisa has been a Sudbury resident for 20 years and her love for our community shows in her altruism and commitment to the schools. She has contributed countless volunteer hours to support our community through her involvement with Sudbury Public Schools School Committee, Sudbury Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC), and the Board of the Community Resources Awareness Network (CRANE). Through her work on these committees she has strengthened her relationships with town officials and gained an intricate understanding of the complex needs of Sudbury.

Lisa Kouchakdjian stands out as the most receptive, most responsive, and most thoughtful representative currently on the committee. I share the belief of many of Lisa’s supporters that she brings both breadth and depth of thought to the school committee. Coming from a legal background, Lisa is very familiar with research. She has a reputation for carefully considering issues before the school committee and asking focused questions to ensure successful outcomes and reduce risk. Lisa recognizes the importance of the school committee making decisions only after understanding the budget impacts of those decisions. With her knowledge of the issues facing Sudbury schools, she will provide the consistency we need.

At a time of competing priorities and monetary concerns, Sudbury schools are headed for another tough budget next year. Lisa Kouchakdjian’s experience on the school committee and duties as liaison to various committees including the Finance Committee and Strategic Financial Planning Committee for Capital Funding, have made her uniquely qualified. She has the experience to assess the budget, and collaboratively develop and implement a strategic plan which will guarantee that the resources allocated to the schools are used responsibly and purposefully to reach our goals.

I believe Lisa Kouchakdjian will continue to be a steadfast advocate for our schools and for all our students. Please join me in supporting Lisa for re-election to the Sudbury School Committee by voting on Monday, March 26. For more information, please visit Lisa’s website at www.goLisa.org.
