Middle School Student Struck By Car, Suffers 'Serious Injuries'
The injured pedestrian is a student at the Curtis Middle School in Sudbury.

SUDBURY, MA—A girl who attends a Sudbury middle school was struck by a car while walking on Thursday evening.
On May 10 around 6:30 p.m., many calls came into Sudbury police about a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Fairbanks Road near Phillips Road.
Police and firefighters responded to the area and found a young girl lying on the side of the road. The girl was transported to Children's Hospital with serious but apparently non-life threatening injuries, said police. The operator remained at the scene cooperating with the investigation but was eventually transported to the hospital as well. The pedestrian is a Curtis Middle School student.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the student and her family," said an announcement from the police department.
The accident remains under investigation.
