Rhino Boost For Sudbury Pet Food Bank Kobe Henro
Sudbury's Kobe Henro pet food bank was running out of storage space. A Middleborough company stepped in to help.

SUDBURY, MA — A local shed company has given a rhino-sized boost to a growing local nonprofit.
Helaine Block, founder of the local pet food bank Kobe Hero, recently asked the Middleborough company Rhino Sheds to sell the nonprofit a shed at a discount. Kobe Henro has collected close to 50,000 pounds of pet food recently.
“As a fast-growing young nonprofit, I reached out to many small independent as well as large corporate shed companies inquiring about a discount," Block said in a news release. "Not one of them showed any philanthropic interest, until I connected with Lara at Rhino sheds who was more than happy to give us a hand. The shed was delivered and installed in just about two hours and is truly fantastic."

Block founded Kobe Henro in October 2020. The nonprofit previously helped shuttle rescue dogs from Israel to the U.S., and hosted the recent Paws in the Park event at the Wayside Inn.
Kobe Henro collects pet food donations and then distributes them to organizations like food pantries in Acton, Sudbury, Maynard and Hudson for customers to access alongside human food.
