SPS Plans Better Communication with New Cable Show
'Be In the Know About SPS' has already taped two shows with Superintendent Anne Wilson and Assistant Superintendent Todd Curtis.

For almost a year parents of Sudbury Public Schools students have said they want more transparency from the school committee and Superintendent Anne Wilson after the sudden dismissals of former Noyes Elementary School teacher Janice Donahue and Curtis Middle School Administrator Peter Fardig.
The school committee thinks it has a solution that will appeal to all parents.
According to SPS Committee member Lucie St. George, a new monthly cable show has been created on SudburyTV, "Be In the Know About SPS."

"Our mission for 'Be in the Know About SPS' is to further communicate to you by showcasing various administrators and staff, giving residents a chance to hear more in depth about what we are doing for our children and to keep viewers better informed," St. George said in an email.
The first show aired in March with St. George interviewing Wilson.

"Besides hearing more about the vision for SPS, viewers will become more familiar with state mandated goals and strategic objectives and will hear more in layman terms about the realigning of staff to meet these needs and what happens during Professional Development and Early Release Days," St. George said. "Also hear how we compare to other districts and where we are focusing our energies for the next budget year and most importantly why."
In the first episode, Wilson also speaks about the importance of Core Values and student interconnectedness, enhanced communication, and technology in the classrooms.
The second show featured Assistant Superintendent Todd Curtis and what his role is at SPS.
