Street Closures For Worcester Caribbean American Carnival
Parade participants will begin to arrive around the Common area between approximately 11:30 a.m.

WORCESTER, MA–The Worcester Police Department announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays on Sunday, Aug. 26, for the Worcester Caribbean American Carnival.
Parade participants will begin to arrive around the Common area between approximately 11:30 a.m. and noon. Organizers will line up floats for the parade in the areas around the Common (Front/Church/Franklin Streets).
Beginning at noon drivers can expect traffic restrictions and detours on Front Street from Main Street to Mercantile Street. Highland Street motorists can expect delays, and portions of Grove St will be closed from 1:30 p.m. until the end of the parade. Salisbury Street will be closed from Park Ave to Lancaster St, starting at about 9 a.m.

The parade starts at about 1:30 p.m., and the streets are expected to be clear at about 4 p.m.
The Worcester Police Department is advising drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians to take extra care to obey the rules of the road and to be considerate of others traveling on local streets.
