Sudbury Town Committee Endorses Geoff Diehl For Senate

Sudbury Town Committee Endorses Geoff Diehl.

SUDBURY, MA—Representative Geoff Diehl, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that the Sudbury Republican Town Committee delegates to the Massachusetts Republican convention in April have endorsed his candidacy.

“Geoff Diehl is a proven leader," wrote the committee in a press release. "Many of us got to know him when he led the successful effort to repeal automatic gas tax hikes saving taxpayers $2 billion dollars and when he collected signatures to repeal Common Core."

"He has accomplished more as a State Representative than Elizabeth Warren has done as a U.S. Senator,” said DeAnna Bisson, chairman of the Sudbury Town Committee and an ex officio delegate, in a statement.

Diehl has praised Sudbury as “a key community which can help deliver victories in both the Primary and General Election.”

“Warren has failed to help Massachusetts taxpayers," said Diehl in a statement. "We need a Senator who will focus on the citizens of the Commonwealth. From the time you wake up in the morning and until you go to bed in the evening you should be working to help the people of Massachusetts, ahead of your own ambitions. Our Senators needs to do their job by putting you first. Massachusetts is too great for a part-time Senator."

Elected Sudbury Republican delegates who support Geoff Diehl include: David Anderson, John Baranowsky, Dotti Bisson, Roberta Cerul, Anthony Fortunato, Charlie Guthy, Ursula Lyons, Paul Mawn, Stacey Morano, Fred Smerlas, Kristy Smerlas and Ernie Yenke. Last week Diehl won the Plymouth County Straw Poll.

Over the past couple of weeks, Diehl has been endorsed by the Watertown Republican Town Committee, the Hanson Republican Town Committee, the Bourne Republican Town Committee, the Dighton Republican Town Committee, the Dracut Republican Town Committee, former New England Patriots Fred Smerlas, Steve Grogan, and Matt Light, Red Sox Champion Curt Schilling, and John Dennis to name a few.
