Woman Reports Possible Intruder, Market Basket Protest Prompts Police Report

Wednesday, July 30

· At 2:41 p.m. loss prevention at Wal-Mart reported a shoplifter running out of the store. Officers responded and the party was attempting to leave the store in a vehicle. Police arrested Anass Dahany, 22, of 100 Massmill Drive Apt. 210, Lowell. She was charged with shoplifting by asportation and conspiracy.

· At 6:18 p.m. a caller from Kendall Road reported that he believed his home was broken into today at 5:10 p.m. The caller said he was home at the time and saw a man standing in the hallway. Officers responded to look into the report.

· At 6:21 p.m. a woman came into the station to speak with an officer about her window being smashed by a Market Basket employee while she was leaving the Demoulas warehouse on East Street.

· At 7:53 p.m. a gas station employee on Main Street reported a man holding a sign saying to not use their carwash. Police spoke to the man, who was off the property.

Thursday, July 31

· At 11:27 a.m. dispatch received a 911 call for a bank robbery that just took place at Lowell 5 Savings Bank on Main Street. All cruisers checked the area but could not locate the vehicle. Wilmington Police stopped the vehicle and arrested a Billerica man for robberies in Billerica and Tewksbury.
