
Frank Giannetto dies on Sept. 28 at the age of 92.
He was born in Belmont and grew up in Watertown, living most of his life on Grant Avenue. He joined the Army in 1943 and fought at Anzio, Italy and served through the end of the war, according to an obituary on the Brown and Hickey Funeral Home website.
He married his wife Flora nearly 60 years ago. He was a carpenter by trade, and built the house on Grant Avenue that they lived in for the next 50+ years.
He was the husband of Flora Giannetto (Tortorella); father of Frank Giannetto Jr. of Chicago, Lauren Meko and her husband Joseph of Billerica and Michael Giannetto and his wife Terry of Northborough; and grandfather of Jillian, Mark, Marissa, Nicole and Dominic.
Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road in Belmont on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 8 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Lukes Church, 132 Lexington St. in Belmont, at 9 a.m. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Watertown.
