Kura - The Revolving Sushi Bar Comes To Watertown
Authentic Japanese dishes served on a conveyer belt are now available at Watertown's Arsenal Yards.
WATERTOWN, MA — Few things are better than having authentic Japanese dishes served directly to you through a revolving bar, and Kura Sushi wants Watertown to be able to experience just that.
Kura Sushi is a Japanese concept known for its revolving sushi bar, has its first New England location at Arsenal Yards in Watertown. The conveyer belt sushi restaurant has plans to expand to Dorchester's South Bay Center at some point this year.
Most of Kura's restaurant is automated, allowing customers to order from touch screens and pick up their dishes from a conveyer belt that passes the table. When they're done, they can send the finished plates into a disposal bin near their seats.

The system automatically adds all dishes to the tab, and all sushi dishes are priced at $3.30. Along with signature sushi like a seared scallop roll, salmon-filled golden crunchy roll, and a California roll with real crab, there are monthly and seasonal specials.
The restaurant uses "Kurabots" or robots, that help employees deliver condiments and drinks to tables. The restaurant also says prizes and rewards will be given out to select customers.
