5 Things: Board Vacancies, Meetings Today, Planning for College, Beads Needed

A few things you need to know on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

1. Meetings Tonight. The 375th Anniversary Committee will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Wayland Town Building. Additionally, the Permanent Municipal Building Committee is scheduled to continue discussions about a new DPW facility.

2. Board Vacancies. There are dozens of vacancies on Wayland committees and boards. Check out the latest list and consider getting involved.

3. Beads Needed. The Wayland Council on Aging needs beads for jewelry making projects that will become gifts in the Children's Holiday Shoppe. Broken beaded jewelry that is no longer wearable is one option for what you can give. Drop off your beads at the COA office at the Wayland Town Building.

4. College Planning Workshop. A free workshop at the Wayland Public Library will help families plan to pay for college. The workshop takes place from 7 p.m.-8:15 p.m.

5. Warriors Lacrosse. The Wayland High School boys' varisity lacrosse team will take on Westford Academy at home today at 4 p.m.
