5 Things: Budget Meetings, Young Singers and Grief Workshops
A few things you need to know on Jan. 14, 2013, in Wayland.

1. Loker Concert. The first concert for Little Local Voices will take place tonight at 7 p.m. This community chorus is led by former general music teacher at Wayland's elementary schools and has a new session beginning in February. This will be a chance to learn more about the program and hear the results.
2. Grief and Healing Workshop. The Bertolon Center for Grief & Healing is offering an experiential art workshop open to adults interested in how the creative process and creative visualization can help individuals find hope and healing. Advance registration is required, but the workshop is free.
3. Meeting Monday. There are at least eight boards or committees meeting tonight and a quick glance at several of the agendas indicates that budget discussions will be widespread tonight. In addition, selectmen are scheduled to talk about the Danforth Development in Framingham. Check out the Town of Wayland calendar for details.

5. A Marriage Made in Hollywood Heaven. On this date in 1954, Marilyn Monroe wed Joe DiMaggio in what appeared to be a perfect Hollywood union. Alas, it was not meant to be and the couple divorced just 274 days later, according to History.com.
