5 Things: Carnival Volunteers Needed, Bear Photo, Art Exhibit and More

A few things you need to know on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Wayland.

1. Volunteers needed for opening day (June 15) of Wayland's year-long 375th anniversary celebration. The Old Fashion Carnival and Circus kick-off event is in need of ticket takers, food servers, people to set up, etc. Here are the details.

2. ICYMI. There's a fantastic "bear-goes-after-birdfeeder" photo in our Community Gallery. Thanks to Alex Wiss for uploading the shot. You definitely want to see this.

3. Morning Meeting TOMORROW. Because it's an early one, we wanted to let you know a day in advance. The Wastewater Management District Commission is scheduled to meet Thursday (that's tomorrow) at 8:45 a.m. Here's the agenda.

4. Arts/Wayland Show Continues. The lower level of the Wayland Public Library is currently displaying the Arts/Wayland Members Spring Show. The exhibit features pieces honoring Wayland Reads Poetry. Stop by and check it out in the lower level display case.

5. Spring sports reminder. If you want to see your league or team's schedules, scores or highlights posted on Wayland Patch, go ahead and make it happen. Check out a few options for getting this info up on the site and out to Patch readers.
