5 Things: Earth Day Weekend, Yogathon Deadline and More
A few things you need to know on Friday, April 26, 2013 in Wayland.

1. Earth Day Weekend. The weekend's Earth Day open houses and activities kick off tonight with a screening of "Chasing Ice" at Wayland High School tonight at 7:30 p.m. For a full list of the weekend's activities, check out this list.
2. Recreation Programs. The Wayland Recreation Department is continuing to enroll for its summer programs. Check out the brochure and sign up.
3. Instrument Drive. The Rivers School is continuing to accept musical instruments as part of its Musical Instrument Drive. Drop off instruments at the school that will go help children participate in musical programs who would not otherwise be able to.

4. Yoga Reaches Out Yogathon. A Wayland resident began Yoga Reaches Out with the idea of using her passion for yoga to help, in particular, children's charities. Registration for the upcoming yogathon at Gillette Stadium closes today at 4 p.m. More details here.
5. Burlington to Boston. Organizers of KeyBank's Vermont City Marathon are offering 150 free race entries to runners of the Boston Marathon who were unable to finish the 26.2 mile jaunt to from Hopkinton to Copley Square after two bombs were detonated at the finish line on Monday, April 15. “Our entire community comes together race weekend to create an atmosphere of celebration,” said KeyBank Vermont City Marathon race director Peter Delaney. “We’re opening our doors to anyone who was unable to finish Boston, so that they can realize the results of their training and continue the healing process.” The race will draw 8,000 runners, another 1,700 volunteers and approximately 30,000 spectators, making it New England's second largest marathon behind the world famous Boston Marathon.
