Police Log: Chasing Away a Burglar, OUI Arrest, Scooter vs. Vehicle

The following information was supplied by the Wayland Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

May 12:

  • 56 Pemberton Road; 4:19 a.m. - Arrest of Daniel Sullivan, 32, of 99 North Ave., in Natick. According to police reports, Officer Lombardo stopped a vehicle for violations. Upon investigation, Sullivan was placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (second offense), a marked lanes violation, driving on a suspended license and having defective equipment. He was transported to the station and released on bail.

  • 13 Happy Hollow Road; 4:44 p.m. - Raccoon in the driveway.

May 10:

  • 147 Old Connecticut Path; 8:21 a.m. - Motor vehicle accident: Vehicle with a towing trailer vs. a scooter. The scooter was towed by SRAB and the driver of the other vehicle fled to Weston, where that person was located by Weston PD.
  • 150 Commonwealth Road; 12:49 p.m. - Branch manager of Middlesex Savings Bank brought an envelope of money in the police station that had been left in the bank lobby.
  • 264 Old Connecticut Path; 6:16 p.m. - Report of a child sitting on the grass and putting their legs out into the roadway.
  • 14 Happy Hollow Road; 10:27 p.m. - Strobe lights in a garage reported. Found to be a malfunctioning light on the garage door opener.

May 9:

  • 175 Old Connecticut Path; 6:01 p.m. - Report of beer bottles being thrown out the window of a Ryder Truck registered in Rhode Island.

May 8:

  • 131 Main St.; 4:40 p.m. - Caller reported that someone had taken money from the tip jar.

May 7:

  • 15 Highgate Road; 12:47 a.m. - Caller reported that they had just chased a person from the driveway who had been attempting to break into the family's vehicles. One vehicle was entered, but nothing was taken.
  • 5 Oak St.; 6:41 a.m. - Multiple vehicles broken into.
  • 220 Oxbow Road; 2:29 p.m. - Person came into the station to report that her car had been broken into.
  • 10 Joyce Road; 6:34 p.m. - Caller reported two kids with BB guns.

May 6:

  • 44 Main St., 6:32 p.m. - Report of person possibly impersonating an officer.
  • 30 Riverview Ave., 7:18 p.m. - Caller reported a suspicious person watching a kids' baseball game from the woods.
