Police Log: Coyotes are Out, Couple of Arrests and B&Es

The following information was supplied by the Wayland Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

May 1:

  • 292 Boston Post Road; 8:43 a.m. - An employee with State Road Auto Body called to report that it appeared someone had broken into Somerby's Salon.
  • 16 Boston Post Road; 8:47 a.m. - Breaking and entering reported with money stolen from a cash box.
  • 87 W. Plain St.; 5:23 p.m. - Caller reported that the crosswalk was slippery. An officer checked the situation and reported that they had been painted the night before and were drying.
  • 101 Andrew Ave., 3:55 p.m. - A person came into the Wayland Police Station to report that kids skateboarding at Stop & Shop were coming close to people as they exit the store, almost knocking them down. An officer responded to Stop & Shop and spoke with the individuals.

  • 102 Glezen Lane; 6:53 a.m. - Road was closed following an motor vehicle collision with a utility pole. The pole caught fire and Nstar was notified.
  • 391 Commonwealth Road; 8:12 a.m. - Arrest of Derik Campos, 20, of 795 Concord St., in Framingham. Following a motor vehicle stop, Campos was arrested on a warrant for a motor vehicle offense.
  • 330 Old Connecticut Path; 1:59 p.m. - Possible shoplifting incident.
  • 110 Cochituate Road; 6:59 p.m. - Coyotes reported in caller's backyard.

April 29:

  • 207 Boston Post Road; 7:49 a.m. - Arrest of Jean C. Vieira, 31, of 29 Gordon St., Framingham. Following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation, police arrested Vieira for driving on a suspended license. He was also charged with having defective brake lights.
  • 106 Main St.; 12:42 p.m. - Vandalism of a street light reported.
  • 29 Oak St.; 1:25 p.m. - Caller found the back window of their residence broken out. Logged as residential breaking and entering.
  • 225 Old Connecticut Path; 6:02 p.m. - Residential breaking and entering.
