Restored Wayland Hazardous Waste Collection Is This Weekend

Wayland residents no longer have to drive to either Sutton or Westfield to drop off hazardous household waste.

WAYLAND, MA — A hazardous waste collection event in Wayland returns this weekend after a yearlong hiatus.

Wayland did not hold its annual hazardous waste collection event last spring because the town could not find a vendor to partner with. Instead, the town began reimbursing residents who wanted to drop off hazardous waste at facilities in Sutton and Westfield.

Residents can still register to attend the Saturday dropoff online by calling 508-358-3617. The event will take place at the Wayland DPW Garage, 66 River Road, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Here's what will and will NOT be accepted:
