At approximately 7:40 p.m., selectmen will discuss with the Police Chief the analysis of the traffic impact of the use of a “do not enter between 6 and 9 a.m.” on Mitchell Street to address neighborhood concerns about cut-through traffic to and from the area of Wayland Middle School since November 2012. The board approved the restriction, subject to a six-month review. Selectmen will consider whether to leave the sign in place.
Next, the board is expected to complete work on organizational matters, including adoption of guiding principles and code of conduct and a review of goals and priorities through September 2013.

After selectmen consider the consent calendar and review correspondence, the board will consider the intermunicipal agreement with the Town of Sudbury for recreation services before hearing the report of the town administrator, which will include an update on pending matters and a review of upcoming meeting agenda topics.
Later, the board will consider the request from the Finance Committee regarding the request to appropriate from the reserve fund for FY2013 sufficient funds to obtain assessments of issues related to the designated River Road site and access road for a new Department of Public Works facility. Funds would address information desired by citizens at town meeting concerning wetlands mitigation for road improvements, safeguarding the facility from methane migration from the capped landfill, and assessing the potential for significant Native American artifacts in the area to be disturbed to extend the access road. The Finance Committee conditioned its approval of the request upon a commitment by the Selectmen to pursue the River Road parcel to a fall Special Town Meeting subject to the information gathered in the assessments.
Before adjourning the meeting, selectmen will offer their own reports and concerns.
The session begins at 7 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.
