Special Town Meeting Article Hearing Set for Sept. 5

Residents who wish to preview proposed articles for the Oct. 3 Special Town Meeting may do so at a hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 5, according to a press release from Town Administrator Fred Turkington.

The Finance Committee will hold the Sept. 5 hearing at the at 7:15 p.m. Those who have submitted articles for consideration for inclusion on the Special Town Meeting Warrant are asked to attend the hearing.

Proposed articles and resolutions submitted for inclusion in the warrant will be made available at the hearing, and will also be posted on town website, the press release said.

The decision on which articles and resolutions will be included in the warrant will be made by the Board of Selectmen at its Sept. 10 meeting. An order for the articlces will also be decided at that selectmen's meeting.
