Vehicle Burglarized at Loker Conservation Area

The Wayland Police Department is reminding residents to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables unattended in those vehicles following an afternoon vehicle burglary at the Loker Conservation Area.

According to a police press release, a vehicle window was smashed and a purse stolen from inside around lunchtime on Friday, Nov. 16.

Police received a call about the burglary at 1:10 p.m. and say the crime occurred about 30 minutes before the call.

"The Wayland Police Department reminds residents/visitors to the town to lock their unattended vehicles when not in use," the press release reads. "Additionally, we urge you not to leave purses, electronics, cell phones, radar detectors, money and other valuable in your vehicles when not in use or locked."
