Wayland Finance Committee Holds Annual Warrant Article Meeting

The workshop allows each article sponsor to summarize the purpose for the article and respond to brief questions.

WAYLAND, MA—The Finance Committee is holding its Annual Town Meeting Warrant Article Workshop on Monday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Wayland Town Building. According to an announcement from the committee, the workshop is held to facilitate public discussion and understanding of the articles submitted for Annual Town Meeting to be held on Monday, April 2, at 7 p.m. at the Wayland High School Field House.

The Finance Committee requires at least one member of each sponsoring board or a petitioner to attend the workshop to present a brief synopsis of the article and be available for questions from the Finance Committee and the public, said the announcement.

The workshop allows each article sponsor to summarize the purpose for the article and respond to brief questions from the Finance Committee and the public. The workshop is not the place to debate the merits of the articles but to introduce the Finance Committee members (who will do the write-ups, if any) and the public to the articles up for discussion.
