Wayland's Memorial Day festivities will begin early on Monday, May 27 and conclude with a ceremony at Lakeview Cemetery.
A parade from Wayland Middle School to Lakeview Cemetery and back will briefly close portions of Main Street and Route 30 (from about 10:50 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) and Pemberton Road, West Plain Street and Main Street (from about 12:30 p.m.-12:50 p.m.)
The Wayland Public Ceremonies Committee will kick off Memorial Day with brief tributes for veterans at several locations in town. The schedule is as follows:

Then, at 10:30 a.m., parade participants will commence lining up at WMS with the parade scheduled to step off at 11 a.m.

U.S. Navy LTJG Joseph Carroll will serve as the grand marshal for the parade, which will also feature school marching bands, town officials and committee members and more.
At Lakeview Cemetery, John Dyer will deliver the keynote address with state Rep. Tom Conroy and state Sen. Richard Ross scheduled to offer comments as well.
