Wayland Residents Share the Worst Part of Their Commute

Wayland residents shared what part of their commute drives them the most crazy.

We all hate it -- getting stuck in traffic during morning or evenings commutes. It can driver a motorist crazy.

On Tuesday, Wayland Patch provided a map showing the average of how long it takes residents to commute to work. And on the Wayland Patch Facebook and  page, we asked residents how long their commute is, and which part is the worst part of their drive. Motorists didn't hold back on their opinions.

  • Lori Greenberg: The most dangerous is Stonebridge Road any time of the day. Also in the morning can take 20+ minutes to get on Old Connecticut Path at Stonebridge Road and to the high school.
  • George Butler: Old Connecticut Path in that same area. Light at the High School has impacted Route 126 traffic.
  • Amanda Kay: My commute isn't bad as long as I leave early! I take route 30 from Wayland to Newton, it's pretty much stopped if you get on at 8 a.m.!
  • Mary Kowalski: Turning south on routes 27/126 from Millbrook Road in the morning is rough. Cars going south on 27/126 either block the intersection or do not leave enough room for one car to get out from Millbrook. Saturday is just as bad during the day. Cars going south block the intersection of Millbrook/Pelham Island roads and 27/126 and I cannot cross 27/126 to get to the dump. If the stop line for the 20/27/126 light were in front of the chiropractor's office, the morning rush hour problem would be solved.
