Like Trying Local Restaurants? Wayland-Weston Crew Fundraiser Has Tasty Grand Prize
In a bid to raise $20,000, the local crew organization is a package of 20 $100 meals at local restaurants.

WAYLAND, MA — If you've ever had a hard time choosing which local restaurant to eat at, have you considered eating at them all?
A new Wayland-Weston Rowing Association fundraiser will basically allow you to do just that. The sports organization is trying to raise $20,000 by the end of March to support its middle school, high school and adult rowing programs. The grand prize: 20 individual $100 gift cards to a bevy of local restaurants.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will mostly support local rowing programs, minus the cost of the prizes. The Wayland-Weston crew program has won state, regional and national regattas in recent years, and its volunteers include Olympic medalists. Four women alumni from the program competed in the 2022 World Rowing Championships in Račice, Czech Republic, in September.
