Wellesley Town Meeting Approves Salary Plans, Continues Tuesday

Lasting until almost midnight, the Wellesley Town Meeting will continue on Tuesday night.

WELLESLEY, MA — Wellesley's Annual Town Meeting on Monday night was adjourned just before midnight — Town Meeting is planned to continue on Tuesday night. This year's Town Meeting was conducted over Zoom, to avoid the possible spread of the coronavirus.

Almost all articles introduced on Monday night were approved, including the salary plans for several municipal departments including the police and fire departments. Wellesley's Annual Town Meeting Warrant has 50 Articles in total, some with as many as five motions included.

No Motions were made under Article 1, 13, 18, 19, 24-26 and 28-40.
