• Westborough Select Board keeps single tax rate, while property values rise 7 percent (communityadvocate.com) — Westborough’s Select Board has voted 4–1 to keep a single tax rate for fiscal 2026, even as rising property values are expected to push the average single-family tax bill up by about $586. Board members debated but ultimately rejected a split tax rate and special exemptions, arguing that shifting more burden onto businesses could hurt commercial growth and unfairly favor some residents over others.
