Westborough Gets $130K For Walking, Biking Options Across Town

The town was one of 190 communities that recieved state funding.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough was awarded a $130,000 Housing Choice Grant from the state.

The funding, which is part of Gov. Healey's Community One Stop for Growth Program, is meant to support the creation of a comprehensive Active Transportation Plan, according to the town. Westborough was one of 190 communities that recieved funding.

The town said the plan will help build safer, more connected walking and biking options across town. It will advance goals from the 2021 Master Plan and Complete Streets Prioritization Plan, which links neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and recreation areas, according to the town.

The town said it will also provide opportunities for residents to share input and ideas in 2026.
