Westborough Homeless Fundraiser Yields Over $100K
"A Night In The Cold," an annual fundraiser for Massachusetts' homeless population, broke its $100,000 goal over the weekend.

WESTBOROUGH, MA - "A Night In The Cold," a yearly homelessness fundraising event held by Westborough's own John Bogaert, broke its $100,000 goal over the weekend.
"This event showcases the good in people and how eager they are to help those less fortunate than them," Bogaert said.
Over the last few years, Bogaert and other volunteers have slept out in the cold to mirror the harsh realities many homeless face across Central Massachusetts.

"A Night In The Cold" has raised over $110,000. This year, they netted over $20,000 for Horizons For Homeless Children, a Roxbury-based organization devoted to serving homeless children.
"We laid awake as single-digit wind howled through our tents for hours," Bogaert said. "All you could think of was how sad it is that any human being ever has to live this way."
