Westborough Honors Its Oldest Resident On Her 104th Birthday
Bunny Smith has spent her entire life living in the town.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — The town celebrated a very special birthday this week.
Lena Smith, known to friends and family as "Bunny," turned 104 on Monday. She has spent all 104 years of her life in Westborough, according to the town.
After she was born in 1921, Smith was the 57th registered birth in Westborough. She is now the oldest resident in the town.

She graduated from Westborough High School on June 15, 1939, in a class of 57 students, according to the Town Clerk's records. She was a drum major and the Vice President of her graduating class.

Smith met her husband, Fred Perron, in high school, and they married after WWII. They had two daughters, Patricia and Kathleen. The pair also opened a five-and-dime store called The Circle downtown.
Bunny was pinned with the Boston Post Can pin, which is presented to the oldest citizen in Westborough.
