Westborough Police Nab Three Suspects After Multi-Town Pursuit
Westborough Police arrested the three suspects who fled on foot after their vehicle ran out of gas on Interstate 495.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — On Friday at approximately 2:05 p.m. Westborough Police Department assisted Milford Police Department with a multi-jurisdictional pursuit spanning at least four towns and lasting approximately 35 minutes for drug-related offenses.
Milford Police and Massachusetts State Police reported multiple suspects had taken off on foot after their van ran out of gas in Westborough on Interstate 495 North in the area of Route 9. Officers on scene reported three individuals jumped a guardrail down an embankment where officers lost sight of them.
Westborough Police along with Milford Police and Massachusetts State Police set up a perimeter in the area to contain the suspects.
Westborough Police K9 unit Officer Caleb Polseno and K9 Lukas were deployed to the area. Upon arriving on scene, K9 Lukas and his handler picked up a track under Interstate 495 in a culvert pipe waist-deep in water. K9 Lukas tracked through the culvert and located one suspect hiding near a tree approximately one mile away from where the suspects had fled. A second Officer from Westborough Police assisted the K9 team in apprehending the first individual.

Polseno and K9 Lukas continued to track near Washington St. where they located and apprehended the second suspect and were assisted by Westborough Police Detectives.
The third individual continued to flee the area where he was pursued and apprehended by Officer Polseno and K9 Lukas.

All three suspects were apprehended by Westborough Police Department and subsequently released to Milford Police Department.
