Westborough Power Choice Prices To Change In November

A new contract with First Point Power is scheduled to take effect.

WESTBOROUGH, MA - There will be new prices for Westborough's group electricity buying program this fall.

Prices for Westborough Power Choice will change come November. The town stated that this is because the current electricity supply contract is set to expire, and a new, 2-year contract with First Point Power is scheduled to take effect.

The new contract will provide similar prices, according to the town. But prices will change slightly for all program participants. The town also said the changes will provide savings compared with National Grid for most participants.

No action is required for current participants, and all of the new prices are fixed for 24 months from November 2025 until November 2027.

The town said that the Westborough Power Choice program has saved participants more than $21 million, compared with National Grid's Basic Service prices, since its launch in 2016.
