Westborough Ranks Among Best School Districts In MA, New Ranking Says

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough ranks as the No. 13 best school district in Massachusetts, according to the 2026 Best School Districts in America list recently released by the education ranking service Niche.

Westborough Public Schools has 3,887 students in grades PK, K-12, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 12 to one. According to state test scores, 69% of students are proficient or above in math, and 68% in reading.

Meanwhile, the best school district in the Bay State is Brookline Public Schools. You can find the full list of 25 here.

In September, Westborough High School was ranked one of the best high schools in the state. Westborough High School was ranked No. 11 in Massachusetts in the 2026 Best Public High Schools in America ranking, which evaluates more than 93,000 public high schools nationwide.

Niche said its rankings, now in the 11th year, differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also includes input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.
