Westborough School Bus Drivers To Picket Over Contract Impasse
A judge in 2021 ordered Westborough's school bus provider to bargain with the drivers, but they still do not have a contract.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough school bus drivers will picket Wednesday outside town hall to raise awareness about their quest for a contract with the town's school bus provider.
In 2021, a federal judge ordered bus provider NRT Bus, Inc. to recognize and bargain with the Westborough bus drivers' union, Worcester-based Teamsters Local 170. That ruling came after the National Labor Relations Board found that NRT did not bargain in good faith after taking over the Westborough contract from bus provider First Student.
But since that ruling, the drivers have not been able to solidify a contract with NRT, according to the union.

The Westborough drivers voted to join that Teamsters union in 2019 when First Student was the district's transportation provider.
