Westborough's Winter Parking Ban Begins: November To April

Starting this week, parking along town streets will be severely limited during overnight hours.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Winter won't officially arrive until Dec. 21, but Westborough's winter parking ban starts Wednesday.

The annual parking limitation runs from Nov. 1 to April 1, 2024. During the ban, vehicles can't park for more than an hour on any town street between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Violators can be issued $10 ticket for each offense, according to the town Parking Clerk.

Winter parking bans typically allow plows to move more freely at night during winter weather events.

The Westborough area hasn't seen any snow yet, but some long-range forecasts are predicting a more normal winter over 2023-24 due to an El Niño pattern in the Pacific. Last winter was relatively mild, with little snowfall and even a few days when temperatures swung into the 60s.
