Man Dead After Accident Behind Westford Valley Marketplace
The incident occurred behind Dunkin' Donuts on Tuesday evening.

The Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports that an unnamed 54-year-old Chelmsford man has been declared dead following a car related accident behind Dunkin' Donuts on Tuesday evening.
Westford Patch first gained knowledge of the incident at approximately 8:30 p.m. after learning the man was pinned beneath a car, although initial reports indicated he was slightly further down the road toward Chelmsford.

According to the District Attorney's Office, after an investigation of the scene, it was determined the man was attempting to fix an issue with his car when the vehicle fell on top of him.
The man was removed from the scene and brought to Lowell General Hospital, where he passed away later on at an unspecified time.

No criminal charges will be filed.
Attempts to obtain information from Dunkin' Donuts were not returned as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
