WESTFORD, MA — The northbound lanes of I-495 were blocked Saturday morning following a collision involving a tractor trailer hauling pineapples. State police reported the crash around 9 a.m., sharing an image of the toppled truck with thousands of pineapples spilled along the side of the highway in the woods. The crash happened near the Carlisle Road exit, and the right two lanes were blocked immediately after the incident, according to MassDOT. The driver of the pineapple truck was taken to Lowell General Hospital with minor injuries, state police said.
