Ellen F. Dean, 67, Tewksbury Resident, Member of St. Dorothy Parish
Retired from Diamond Crystal Company in Wilmington where she worked for 32 years.

Ellen Frances Dean, age 67, a woman known for her great faith and a devout Catholic, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, following a brief illness. She was a beloved daughter of the late Edward N. and Rosella M (Keough) Dean.
Ellen was born in Lowell in March 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, a member of Tewksbury Memorial High School’s Class of 1967. She went on to earn her certification as an Office Specialist from Middlesex Community College in 2000.

She began her working career while in high school at Purity Savemore in Tewksbury, and upon graduation began her 32 year career at the Diamond Crystal Company in Wilmington, from 1967 until 1999.
She was an avid Red Sox and N.E. Patriots fan.

As a devout Catholic, she continued her lifelong faith journey by attending Mass daily at St. Dorothy’s Parish.
Ellen had a huge capacity for love and friendship, and she touched so many lives with her unique combination of wit, sincerity and generosity of spirit. She will be deeply and sadly missed by those who knew her.
Ellen was the caring and beloved sister of Jacqueline Dean and Catherine Dean both of Tewksbury, with whom she resided, dearest niece of Evelyn Plourde of Tewksbury, was a special cousin to Dorothy Bowen of Billerica, Elizabeth McGrath of Tewksbury, and Priscilla Corbett of No. Reading, along with many other loving cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St. and 975 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury Center.
Her funeral will begin Friday, Sept. 18, at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at Noon in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main Street (Rte. 38) Wilmington. Burial will be in Tewksbury Cemetery.
