Frost Advisory Overnight Saturday into Sunday

A frost advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday morning.

When you wake up Sunday morning don’t be surprised to see a little frost on the pumpkins.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday.

Temperatures will drop into the middle 30s Saturday night. Combined with light winds, areas of frost will develop. The National Weather Service says a few of the typically coolest low-lying locations could see temperatures bottom out in the lower 30s -- brr!

What You Need to Know:

  • The frost advisory will impact plants. Any any sensitive vegetation left unprotected may be damaged.
  • A frost advisory is issued when frost is expected to develop during the growing season. Those with agricultural interests are advised by NWS to harvest or protect tender vegetation.
  • Potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside away from the cold.
