Haunted Happenings in Wilmington This Month

From the Haunted Woods at Harnden Tavern to the 48th Annual Horribles Parade, here's what's happening for Halloween this year in town.

Halloween is fast approaching and there are some great family events that happen annually right here in Wilmington.

Here’s a look at what’s on tap:

Haunted Woods at Harnden Tavern

For two weekends starting on Oct. 16, the grounds of the town museum will once again play host to the return of this spooktacular Halloween event.

According to Friends Productions, which puts on the event that allows visitors to roam the historic building and grounds not knowing what’s in store for them, this year’s haunt will have 10 different attactions, including four new ones never seen before.

The Haunted Woods takes place Oct. 16, 17, 23 and 24 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (last ticket sales end at 9:30 p.m.). Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

48th Annual Horribles Parade

Wilmington’s 48th Annual Horribles Parade is Sunday, Oct. 25 at 4:30 pm.

Participants march from the Public Safety Building to the Wilmington High School cafeteria where goodies galore await costumed children.
