Navigating the Troubled Waters of Substance Abuse Oct. 28
A free showing of the locally filmed "If Only" on Oct 28 will be followed by a panel discussion on the opioid epidemic.

Wilmington residents are invited to the showing of “If Only,” a movie filmed locally by the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.
The event takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church.
The film was produced by Jim Wahlberg, actor Mark Wahlberg’s brother and is about two teenage boys who experiment with and ultimately become addicted to drugs and their parents’ very different responses. The movie was filmed locally and debuted last spring.

Following the film, there will be a presentation on the signs of substance abuse and trends in our communities, as well as prevention strategies and resources for families.
The event is the combined effort of The Catholic Community of Wilmington and Tewksbury, the Wilmington Board of Health, the Wilmington Police Department and the Wilmington Public Schools.
