Two Road Work Projects Start This Week
Here's a look at what they are, where they are happening and how they may impact your commute.

Two roadwork projects starting this week will mean some road closures and detours residents need to be aware of as they are driving through town.
This week Public Works’ crews will be working on both Chestnut Street, as well as on Adams Street and Parker Street.
With both projects, Public Works’ officials say area residents will have access to and from their properties at all times, although there may be short delays.

Chestnut Street
Crews will be grinding and resurfacing Chestnut Street from Hillside Way to the town line potentially starting Thursday, Sept. 17. This date may be postponed due to inclement weather or scheduling delays with the town’s roadway contractor.
During grinding and paving operations, Chestnut Street is planned to be closed in the southbound direction at Hillside Way.
Please be aware that this restriction may be altered during construction for concerns due to safety or traffic volume.
Adams Street and Parker Street
Crews will also be grinding and resurfacing Adams Street (Parker Street to #29 Adams (approx)) and Parker Street (Lowell Street to Blackstone Street) potentially starting the same day.
During grinding and paving operations, Adams Street and Parker Street will be closed to southbound travel, depending on traffic conditions and equipment accessibility.
Officials say this restriction may be altered during construction for concerns due to safety or traffic volume.
